The universal coolants (which is usually orange or minty green in color) do have these inhibitors. The reason I say to not use just plain green coolant is it does not contain the corrosion inhibitors that are present it organic compound style coolants. That will get out about 99% of the Dex-mud. Once you've done all this put it back together, reinstall the tstat, fill it with universal coolant, NOT just plain green coolant, drive it for a week, then drain it and refill it. your best bet is to take the coolant bottle and scrub it out, pull the lower radiator hose off and flush the radiator with clean water, pull out the tstat and flush water through the upper radiator hose into the engine until it comes out clean at the lower hose, and then disconnect the lines to the heater core and flush it as well. It's unlikely to clog up the engine coolant passages or the radiator passages, but the heater for getting plugged is very possible.
